So one of our investigators Invited us to her church with the promise of coming to ours next week. So we cordially accepted. When we walked in we had a lukewarm reception, that is until we found our investigator Lee, when she introduced us to people they liked us and were very warm. Then we walked into the main hall. when I saw the drums and guitars I couldn't help but think of the RIO church we attended last year, but it was much more mild than that. Then the pastor started to speak. The Pastor Related 2 Kings 4:1-7 to mission work. The story is about a woman in debt, She goes to Elisha and inquires how to get out of debt. After finding the woman has a small container of oil Elisha instructs the woman and her two sons to go find as many empty containers, then use the small container of oil to fill the others. She did and when they ran out of containers the oil "stayed" or stopped flowing, she then used the oil to pay the debt. He related the oil to the Spirit and us as missionaries are to fill others with the spirit. But when we run out of people to teach, the Spirit is "stayed" . Moral of the story, don't stop finding. As long as there are people to teach, the spirit will help us teach them. In other words "Nothing happens in mission work until you find people to teach. I though it was good. That was one of the highlights of my week, but we have been busy and time seems to have flown by. I love you guys.

So how did you like conference? Remember the story of Samuel Ryder? Who apostatized because they spell his name wrong on his mission letter? Well after the authority told that story I leaned over to my neighbor and said "That's nothing, My mission call was addressed to Sister Alister Blue Jose." Anyways I thought that was funny. There were some amazing talks. President Uchtdorfs talk on patience was good, But it was all the more powerful when it was complimented by President Erying talk on diligence, and it seemed that everyone had some kind of emphasis on families, I agree with Elder Anderson when he mentioned how they were all influenced by the spirit when choosing topics. Otherwise they wouldn't have been so unified.
I hope that you take the council from inspired leaders seriously and treasure them.
I love you
Love Elder Jose
