This seems to be a Grumpy time of the year 'round these parts. It may have something to do with the change in weather, or maybe the change in scenery (All of the leaves on the trees are gone and it appears quite depressing), but people are starting to get ever more displeased with us for knocking on their doors. Whatever the case we have the fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ, to quote President Uchtdorf "Have we not reason to rejoice!"So if this time of year starts to get you down, Smile God loves You! We have every reason to be happy. I love you all. Thanks for Teaching me the things which I know.Love Elder Jose

I just got an E-mail from Mom informing me that Halloween was not very eventful in Idaho, but at least it didn't rain on your trick-or-treaters! We are not allowed to go out on Halloween night so that evening we came in studied for a bit then went to see the Issons. They are an older couple in our Ward, but they are pretty famous for being the first converts in this area. They helped start the Powell Valley Ward. They gave us candy and we were happy about that. They had only had one family drop by for Halloween to get candy. Then, on Sunday, we talked to some other families who had gone out trick or treating. Apparently people were giving out tons of candy because they were getting less trick-or-treaters than expected. I suppose that would be a just reward to those who were diligent enough to go brave the elements to go Trick-or-Treating.Well enough about Halloween! Thank you so much for the package! I hope you didn't go too out of your way to send all that stuff. I would have been happy if I had just got the shoes and Grandma Rae's cookies and candy. You all are too good to me.Well I don't have too much time left for P-Day so I must get going and follow the example of those Trick-or-Treaters and get to work. (Thankfully it's not raining today!)I love you all. Be careful and don't get sick.Love Elder Jose
